Best-selling author and Quick Reads champion Rowan Coleman will be addressing delegates at the 2019 unionlearn Annual Conference.

Best-selling author and Quick Reads champion Rowan Coleman will be addressing delegates at the 2019 unionlearn Annual Conference.

Rowan is the author of a string of best-selling novels including The Memory Book, the Runaway Wife and We Are All Made of Stars. Her latest novel, The Summer of Impossible Things, publishing in June 2017, is an epic transatlantic time-travel adventure set in Brooklyn, New York and has garnered wide spread pre-publication praise.

Rowan was chosen to write a short book for publication on World Book Day in March 2006. Woman Walks Into A Bar combines the wit and economy of a short story with the emotional satisfaction of a novel. She then became the first author to be asked back to write a second Quick Read in 2017 with bittersweet road trip story Looking For Captain Poldark.

Rowan is a keen supporter of Quick Reads and has said:

Despite being dyslexic, Rowan loves writing and has said she was always a storyteller and although being undiagnosed dyslexic held her back at for quiet a few years, she somehow made it to university and began to get help that she became able to write in earnest. She will share her experiences with delegates at the conference as well as signing books during the break.
