TUC Northern offer new Organising Through Wellbeing programme
TUC Northern is offering a brand new “Organising Through Wellbeing Programme” that is for union reps, activists and officers who want to maintain and build union strength and effectiveness, through wellbeing, in the workplace.
The programme features a number of courses, and people can sign up to one or all of them, with dates available over the coming months. The courses on offer include:
Health Advocate Training
A one-day course aimed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills essential for promoting health and wellbeing throughout the workplace, enabling participants to give members and colleagues practical support in their efforts to attain a healthier lifestyle.
Mental Health First Aid
Mental Health First Aid is a two-day educational course which teaches people how to identify, understand and help a person who may be developing a mental health issue.
Bitesize Briefing - Have a Word: Alcohol Identification and Brief Advice
A briefing that will help attendees Identify the number of units in alcoholic drinks, outline the harm caused by alcohol, assess alcohol consumption and deliver brief advice aimed at reducing the level of alcohol consumption.
