Supporting Learners – A Guide for Reps is a new publication that will help union learning reps (ULRs) provide the best possible support for learners in their workplace.

Unionlearn has launched a new Supporting Learners guide.  Useful for both new and established ULRs this resource includes sections on getting started as a ULR, the skills of ULRs, providing information and advice and sources of information and support. 

Unionlearn Director Kevin Rowan said:

Unions, their union reps and union learning representatives (ULRs) are now established as key players in the drive to improve skills due to their unique position in the workplace.”

This guide will help reps to provide learners with the right level of support that encourages their learning and progression and helps them to develop skills to manage their own careers.”

The guide also includes information about high-priority areas for learning and work, ULR professional development and a wide range of useful websites for supporting learners.
