The Reading Agency are launching the new batch of Quick Reads for 2020 at an open event in Liverpool on Tuesday 18th February and have also produced resources to help workplaces promote reading skills.

The event is being held Liverpool Central Library between 18:00 – 19:15 and everyone is invited to Join a trio of best-selling authors – Milly Johnson, Clare Mackintosh and AA Dhand – in conversation with Fanny Blake, as they introduce their new bitesize books written for Quick Reads, the life-changing literacy programme run by The Reading Agency.

Quick Reads plays a vital role in addressing the UK’s adult literacy crisis through engaging and accessible books by best-selling authors, ensuring that the pleasures and benefits of reading are available to everyone.

Showcasing the very best contemporary writing with everything on offer from comedy to crime, join this very special event to hear more about The Little Lives of Lara Cliffe by Milly Johnson, Darkness Rising by A.A. Dhand and The Donor by Clare Mackintosh.

The launch will be the first partnership between The Reading Agency and the British Library’s Living Knowledge Network who will be live streaming the event to their public library partners across the UK.
